We compared prices on Maje’s and Sandro’s own websites in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the UK, the US and Canada in October 2026: 1,537 styles (306 Maje, 1,231 Sandro), matched by the style code, which is the same in every country. For US shoppers, 94% of Maje and 99% of Sandro styles were at least 15% cheaper in Europe; for UK shoppers, all of them were.
The euro countries print the same price. Italy comes out a shade cheaper because its refund is a little bigger (22% VAT against France’s 20%), but the difference is about 1%, so buy wherever you are.

Finding the code
The style code, like SFPRO05063 or MFPRO03144, starts with S for Sandro or M for Maje, then F for women or H for men.
The tax refund in France
- French prices include 20% VAT. If you live outside the EU, you can claim it back.
- You need to spend €100.01 or more in one shop on one day. Ask for a tax-free form (détaxe) at the till and show your passport.
- Before you check your bags, scan each form at a PABLO kiosk at the airport. Red on the screen means take the goods and the form to the customs desk.
- Forms must be validated by the end of the third month after the month you bought.
- Refund companies keep a fee. We assume you get about three quarters of the tax back, roughly 12.5% of the price on the tag.
EU residents can’t claim the refund anywhere in the EU. UK residents can, since 2021.
Most Maje and Sandro pieces are over France’s €100.01 minimum on their own.
